Originally founded as the Daniel Memorial Orphanage in 1947, the name changed to Daniel Memorial Children's Home in 1962 and to
Pleasant Hills Children's Home on May 1, 1970.
Pleasant Hills Children's Home is located on approximately 1000 acres in a rural setting east of Fairfield, Texas. Children reside in one of four family-style homes referred to as cottages. The campus maintains a dining hall, maintenance/auto shop, baseball field, basketball and volleyball courts, swimming pool, playgrounds, gym, RV hook-ups/lodge, administration office, chapel, and staff housing.

Pleasant Hills Children's Home provides for all areas of a child's developmental needs. In addition to food, clothing, and shelter, PHCH focuses on spiritual nurture, academic preparation, a strong work ethic, and healthy physical growth. Follow the link to learn more.
Pleasant Hills Children's Home is a basic child care facility licensed by the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Service to care for 48 children. The Home was licensed in 1973.
If you are interested in applying for admission to Pleasant Hills Children's Home, you can call 903-389-2641 and ask for the Children Services Department, you can email us at admissions@pleasanthillschildrenshome.org, or you can fill out a request here and an associate from our Children Services Department will contact you as soon as possible.
During the phone visit, a staff member will conduct an initial screening to determine eligibility for admission. They will provide instructions about completing application forms and details regarding scheduling an interview for placement.

Pleasant Hills Children's Home is operated under the direction of a Board of Directors composed of 30 members and an Executive Director. The Executive Director is appointed by the Board of Directors to administrate the operation of the Home.
